As of today, I have decided that my community service project will be to revive the Mineral Springs of Panacea. I'm working on a proposal for the project at the moment. Not only will I gain community service hours for my college application, but I will also help bring back the community here. I'm excited and so far, most everyone I have told about it thinks it is a fantastic idea.It is dormancy time for my carnivorous babies. The first of November I must lay them down for their winter rest. I've never had to go through a dormancy period with a plant before, so I am a bit depressed about it and am unsure of how to go about it. I need to buy some sphagnum most to wrap their precious roots in, but it is a bit pricey at Lowes. Oh well, it must be done. My new Drosera spatulata 'Frasier Island Form' is to be shipped this Friday. I named him Radcliffe. hehe. Hopefully he will be healthy, unlike Mordecai. I'm hoping he'll come back after dormancy is over. If I can find his roots in the giant pot he is in then I'll gently wash them and put them away as well.Rae signing off.
Hi, hi everyone! I am completely tuckered out. I've been in the truck most of the day, but work is just wearing me out. Thank goodness for cupcakes! *num yummy* I'm doing better in school and I've found a few good websites to order new plants from. Since I have transplanted Vladimir and Genevieve into my terrarium they seem to be a bit healthier.
